One of my hopes is to go to a great college. I have these hope because I belief that education is the key for a great live and future. Also because I will love making my parents proud. I will accomplish these by keeping up my grades. I will make my best effort each year. Until the day comes and all the years of effort will be worth it.

One of my milestones is when I learned to ride horse about 9 years ago. Since that day horses had being more than just my hobby but my passion.I had fallen and stood up again , I had made a bond with creatures 20 times heavier than me, and that bond means everything to me. I had many hard times while riding horse but somehow I learn something new, that is why I love riding horse: because I never stop learning.

Task 4

Child: as all humans beings I was once a child. Actually, I still consider myself a child. Why wouldn't I be? the point that I am 13 years doesn't change the fact that I love to play or love to pretend that I am a teacher or something like that, or simply go outside and play with my imagination, and I still do mischief things. I still don't understand so many complicities of life, and I am willing to enjoy the privilege of feeling like this and enjoy the fact that being a child is steel a role I play in my daily life.

Student: I love being a student on my daily life, and coming to school. IF I wouldn't be a student I think my life would be pretty boring because being a student is my life and my priority in this stage of my life. thanks to being a student I have learned innumerable things and I have met people that will stay in my life and mind forever: my friends.

Sister: I play the role of a sister on my life. I play the role of a twin sister and a little sister. I fight with them s much specially with my twin sister we discuss for everything and we are always seeing the mistakes each other make. And my big sister doesn't have so many patience with me. But neither way I love them so much and I look forward to them even if we fight.

Task 3 

In that moment I realized that... I couldn't get out of the water, I was just about to crash into the rocks on the sea.

If only... I would have heard my mom shouting at the other kids too get out of the water, I wouldn't have had crashed and I wound't have injured myself.

It started as an ordinary day......but then the rocks were just in front of my body, I hit at them so hard, I ha to get out of the water,I manage to get out but I was so scared because my leg was bleeding and my hands too.

Task 2 

Disappointments: I was very disappointed when my parents decided to sell my horse

Accomplishments: when I beat my fear of going to competitions with my new horse, I accomplish to go to competition after 2 years

Conflicts: on Halloween when me and my friends had a huge fight beaches of the groups. 

Fears: as all humans, I am scared to loosing the ones I love ( death) 

Luck: I am very lucky at founding things on the ground,when I was in Miami I found a wallet with 200 dollars on it! 

Enemies: I really don't have enemies, I may like some people more than others but I don't hate someone for like aging that he is my enemy.

Gratitude: I have a lot of gratitude towards my parents.

Jealousy: I am not a jealous person but very remarked I get jealous about something my sister Or brother accomplished.

Fears: I am so cared to loose the ones I love, the idea of living with out my smoky terrifies me. When I try to imagine death all I see is darkness and butterflies in my belly.all humans know that one day they will have to confront it but somehow we always try to forget it, as soon as we start thinking of it we try to change of subject on our minds. We avoid the fear of death. 

Gratitude: I can not explain how much gratitude I have toward my parents. They gave done everything for me. Thanks to them u have love food education and a place to call home. They would give their life's for me and that has no prize I will Mavericks be able to thank them so much.

The sun is a flower, that blooms for just one hour

All summer in a day by Ray Bradbury is about a girl named Margot that lives in the planet Venus, in which it never stops raining and the sun only comes out once in every 7 years. Scientists predicted that that the day in witch the story is told the sun will come out for only two hours, Margot was very excited not only for that but because their parents had told her that she was going back to earth in a year, the kids on the classroom were jealous and decided to trap her in a closet and leave her there while the sun came out and all the rest of the kids played. Finally the story ends when the kids feeling bad and letting Margot out of the closet, but the rain had started again it was too late she had lost her opportunity to see the sun.



One of the antagonist on this story is William we can see many times how his actions affect the protagonist(Margot):

"Hey, everyone, let’s put her in a

closet before the teacher comes !"

“They stood looking at the door and
saw it tremble from her beating and throwing
herself against it.”

This quotes reveal that William is jealous of  Margot and this lead to this unrespectful actions, and end up being selfish by taking away the opportunity to see the sun of someone else, knowing that the sun only comes out every 7 years.



I love how Bradbury uses strong imagery such as the example below to help us visualize the events on the story better:

“It was the color of rubber and ash,

this jungle, from the many years without sun.

It was the color of stones and white cheeses

and ink, and it was the color of the moon.”


Here ray is appealing to scenes of sight because by using adjectives to describe colors such as "color of stones and white cheeses" or " it was the color of the moon" we are not only able to create the image of how the jungle will look but its actual colors.



I really liked this story because I think that its message about bullying is so true on rea life and because it made me wonder a lot of things such as if life is actually possible in other planets. Also all the imagery used and the description of the setting makes the story s real while reading it and makes you want to keep reading.

inevitable death

An occurrence at the owl creek bridge

by Ambrose Bierce

An occurrence in the owl creek bridge by Ambrose Bierce is a story about Peyton Farquhar a men that is about to be hanged because of treason. But the rope brakes and he is able to free his hands and all the ropes while being under water. He is able to avoid all the bullets from the federal soldiers and finally reaches to his family, but as soon as he was going to hug her wife he feels a pain in his neck and we find out that Peyton is dead hanging on the owl creek bridge, and that all the story was simply his last wishes and his imagination,
nothing ever occurred.

On the story Peyton Farquhar is the protagonist and we are able to see many times how far his imagination goes:

"If I could free my hands," he thought, "I might throw off the noose and spring into the stream. By diving I could evade the bullets and, swimming vigorously, reach the bank, take to the woods and get away home.”

This reveals that Peyton is a determined man, and that his last wishes of life were not only to free himself and to save his life but to go home and be with the thing he loves most : his family.It also reveals that Peyton is willing to do everything in order to reach to his family.

I love how Ambrose uses imagery for us to be able to understand better what Peyton is experiencing:

A strange, roseate light shone through the spaces among their trunks and the wind made in their branches the music of Aeolian harps.


Ambrose is appealing not only to the senses of sight by using words such as "roseate and shone" to describe and to create this image on our mind, but also to the scenes of sound bu telling us how the branches made the sound of aeolian harps helping us to imagine what was Peyton experiencing,

I think that this is an awesome story; the way it mixes reality with imagination is so unexpected and makes the story so interesting. And it is so beautiful how it shows us the last wishes of a man that is abut to die and how far imagination can go.

Elsewhere

Some days are just worst than others

Jonas is at the Annex with the giver and the giver let him see the release of one twin. On the release his father will inject the baby and soon the baby will stop moving, this reminded to Jonas to the man he saw on the memory of war and he realizes that his father had just killed the baby and that release meant death. After seeing the release Jonas didn’t wanted to go back to his dwelling so he slept with the giver. That night they both made a plan to escape, but only Jonas will leave because once he leave the community all the memories will come back to the community and the giver wants to be there to help all the people when they experience things they had never felt or seen before. The plan consisted on Jonas leaving his dwelling at midnight the night before the ceremony then he will go to the Annex were he will meet with the giver and he will ask for a driver to take them to the borders of the community with all the food they will save for the last two weeks Jonas will continue his path to elsewhere alone. There was something special between the giver and Rose Mary and that was because Rose Mary was her daughter and when she applied for a release there was something different she injected he self, and all her memories came back to the community.

 

But when the moment came everything change because Jonas found out that Gabe will be released so he had to take Gabe with him. He had to leave early and take the left overs of the dwellings and left with Gabe on the front of his bicycle seeping. They sopped to rest at some bushes after going through many communities. There were planes searching for him witch had warmth detector. Each time alpine flew he transmitted memories of snow of cold to Gabe so the warmth detectors would see them. They traveled at night and slept at day it became a routine, Jonas legs became stronger but exhausted. The memories started to get weaker as they got farther , they were staying with the community, so every time it was even harder to transmit the cold memories for their survival(planes).they started traveling also on day because the planes didn’t flew any more. But now they had new fears they were running out of food. They traveled days and days and they started seeing some creatures that Jonas remembered “animals”. Soon the landscape changed it became colder (snow) and they were starving and Jonas started wondering if there was an Elsewhere and if he could save Gabe. His memories were almost gone but once in a while he could transmit some heat to Gabe. One day Jonas saw a hill he went up by feet carrying Gabe on his arms they were both very weak and cold but when they finally got t the top they found a sled and they slide down, Jonas saw the family on the holidays with the grandparents and music and he knew that that place was his elsewhere.

“So if you escape, once you are gone-and, Jonas, you know that you can never return”(155)

Poor Jonas, just imagine taking such a hard decision being only almost 13. He is just a kid and he still need to take the decision of leaving and return all the memories to the community or staying knowing that nobody will never understand him. Do you imagine having to leave your family, the giver, your friends, and the place were you had being raised? What courage does it take to make such a decision and not knowing if it Is the right one or if you are going to regret it later on. I guess sometimes we just need to risk it all and hope that what ever happens is for the best.

“He wept because he was afraid now that he couldn’t save Gabriel. He no longer cared about himself.”(173)

I feel so bad for Jonas because he has the life of Gabe on his hands. How frustrated would he feel to know that Gabe is starving and freezing and he can do nothing to help? He is just a little boy  riding a bicycle to a destiny he is not even shore it exists. And the only thing that keeps him going and living is the hope that comes through Gabe’s eyes. also the  joy of knowing  he had gave Gabriel a chance to live because if he woudn't had taken him he would be already dead.
